6 months to develop life-centric habits & practices

creativity in service to life.

  • Learn to notice, sense into & work with dying cultural stories

  • Gain tools & practices for collective imagination work

  • Develop & integrate habits for building kinship with all life

  • Grow trust in your own creative intelligence and actions

We are living of a dying story*.

A story of separation from nature, self & each other .

This story has shaped an extractive system of beliefs, norms, structures and ways of knowing that perpetuate exploitation and break-down of our living earth. Deteriorating human and more-than-human health, dividing us from our diversity.

We can’t think our way out of this alone.

We must learn to experience the Earth as alive.

We must radically re-imagine what is possible, then practice & uphold different worlds through new ways of being & creating committed communities of practice.

Will you join us?

Words from the Remix 2023 participants

“The Remix is a wild journey through story with a stellar cast of guest speakers and wonderful creative provocations. As new ideas became clearer, old ones began to disintegrate. I feel inspired and full!”

“Loved every minute. expands your mind and warms yer heart. was honestly everything I'd hoped it would be and more.”

“Becoming Crew are a magical team of humans, lovingly cultivating the world we need. A beautifully designed and immersive learning journey that stays with you long after the closing ceremony.”

This adventure is for you if

  • You have a creative practice (writing, making, music, coding, performance, events, holding space, healing, growing, arts, activism, etc - any form of expression)

  • You’re drawn to the idea of becoming/practicing new stories instead of only theorising them

  • You’re open to strange encounters with more-than-humans, ancestors, your own edges and others

  • You want to participate in growing a community of practice-driven change

Bayo Akomolafe stories

“We need new stories, but new stories are not entirely left to us.

The invitation as we depart on The Remix is to listen and to be in touch with things that are not yet storied.

To open ourselves to strange encounters.

Maybe then the terms and the words and the sentences for new stories will happen to us.”

Bayo Akomolafe, course guest teacher

Join us in practice-driven change

how does the change you long to see in the world live through you?

This adventure follows the becoming crew experiential (un)learning methodology and convenes around Stories for Life  - an offering for storytellers, carriers and shapers seeking to step more intentionally into service to life in these mysterious times.

Stories for Life weaves the work, thinking and ideas of many humans, ancient and modern.

It invites our attention to two key stories in our modern industrial cultural narratives: the story of our relationship with nature and the story of how we measure success.

The project emerged from an open inquiry into the role of stories in helping shape life-sustaining economic systems.

Kickstarted by The Spaceship Earth, Green Economy Coalition and The Wellbeing Economy Alliance.

Stories for Life was featured on the big screens at Glastonbury Festival 2022.
